Strabag buys up sustainable building materials manufacturer

Austrian contractor Strabag has acquired sustainable building materials manufacturer Naporo Klima D盲mmstoff for an undisclosed sum.

Strabag bought 100% of the business, whose product portfolio includes insulation boards made of hemp, flax and PET fibres, from Synthesa Group.

Naporo Klima D盲mmstoff has manufactured hemp fibre boards for its Capatect insulation system at Haugsdorf in Lower Austria since 2015. The boards and are not only suitable as insulation material, but can also be used as acoustic elements, as noise absorbers and for green roofs.
