Powerscreen signs Middle East deal

Crushing, screening and conveying equipment manufacturer Powerscreen has expanded its presence in the Middle East, having signed a deal with a new equipment distributor.

Powerscreen - a subsidiary brand of Terex - has appointed heavy equipment specialist Al Marwan as its authorised dealer for the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Described as a 鈥減artner of many key clients鈥 in the mining, construction, quarrying, oil and gas industries, Al Marwan is headquartered in the city of Sharjah, UAE, with branches in Saudi Arabia and Oman.

It provides new and used excavators, dozers, cranes, loaders and trucks for hire and sale, and employs over 700 machine operators for its 1800-unit rental equipment fleet.

Imran Kazi, regional sales manager at Powerscreen, said: 鈥淭he UAE is a strategic market for Powerscreen, and we were looking for a proactive dealer with an extensive market footprint to accomplish our common business objectives. With their excellent understanding of the crushing and screening industry and its customers, there could not have been a better choice than Al Marwan.鈥

Already an authorised dealer for Kobelco, Dynapac, Toku, Jisung and World Attachments,聽Al Marwan鈥檚 deal with Powerscreen will see it offer the manufacturer鈥檚 crushing and screening models, full service support and spare parts to customers across the country.
