The move, the OEM said, will cover about 85% of the energy for the two facilities, one located in Pendergrass, Georgia, and the other in Moore, South Carolina.

鈥淭he remaining 15% will be sourced as green energy from local electrical suppliers, allowing Takeuchi鈥檚 US locations to remain carbon neutral all year round,鈥 said the company.

Takeuchi said it will apply for Inflation Reduction Act tax credit to help offset the cost of installation.

The project started in 2023, with Takeuchi choosing North Carolina-based Renu Energy Solutions to install the solar panels, which also handled permitting with local governments.

鈥淭he first building to 鈥榞o live鈥 was our South Carolina office building in February 2024,鈥 said Jeff Stewart, president of Takeuchi-US.

鈥淭hat was quickly followed by our Training Center in Pendergrass and then the manufacturing plant in South Carolina. Finally, the machine distribution centre, corporate office and main distribution centre in Pendergrass came online in early July.鈥
