Paul Lyons steps down from the CEA

The UK鈥檚 Construction Equipment Association (CEA) has announced that its market information manager Paul Lyons is stepping down from his role.

Lyons has been in the role since 2016, during which time the association said he has been instrumental in establishing and developing its Market 缅北强奸 service, which provides regular updates on the UK market for construction equipment to CEA members.

He also provided detailed reporting on monthly sales, quarterly imports and exports, as well as insights into end-use markets across the UK.

Additionally, he monitored overseas equipment markets through collaborations with industry partners such as Off-Highway Research.

He will continue to work with the CEA on a consultancy basis as an independent consultant. The CEA said one area of focus will be the decarbonisation of equipment in the UK market, something it describes as 鈥渃rucial for the industry鈥檚 contribution to net-zero targets.鈥

As part of that focus he will work with Systematics International, who run the construction equipment data exchange and are collecting the data relevant to these changes within the industry.

Viki Bell, the CEA鈥檚 director of operations, said, 鈥淧aul has been invaluable in providing Market 缅北强奸 since joining ASL, our admin partners, in 2016. His deep understanding of the industry and his ability to translate complex data into actionable insights have been crucial for our members. We are looking forward to continuing working with Paul as an independent consultant, leveraging his experience within the industry to further enhance our Market 缅北强奸 service.鈥

Lyons added that he is excited to start his new role; 鈥淚 have enjoyed supporting the Association in other areas, but I am pleased to be focusing now on my key area of expertise. With the construction equipment sector undergoing significant changes, particularly in the areas of decarbonisation and technological advancement, I look forward to applying my experience to help members navigate these developments.

鈥淭his new role allows me to focus even more on delivering valuable insights that support the strategic decisions of our members. Additionally, I am also looking forward to exploring new opportunities outside of the CEA, broadening my reach and impact within the industry.鈥

Lyons responsibilities for the CEA-owned CESAR Scheme will be handed over to Amy Gavin, CEA鈥檚 executive assistant, while Bell will oversee new member recruitment. Ongoing support will be managed by Beth Abbott, CEA鈥檚 head of marketing and communications.聽
