Bouygues Construction has launched its new 鈥楢ct For Your Future鈥 work-study recruitment campaign, in order to attract young people to construction sector careers.

The France-based firm is offering 1,000 places on the programme across the country, with applicants able to gain site worker, engineering and support function training roles.

Launched exclusively online, the month-long campaign aims to help address the construction industry鈥檚 skills shortage.

According to the company, this type of learning programme is one of the best ways through which young people can build careers in the construction, public works and energy and services sectors.

Bouygues said, 鈥淲ork-study programmes are of great strategic importance for Bouygues Construction. In a job market where there is a shortage of construction workers, the sector must find a way of rejuvenating its workforce.

鈥淚t also has to address the need for training very quickly in order to keep pace with changes in the construction industry as a result of digital, climatic and environmental challenges.

The 鈥楢ct For Your Future鈥 digital campaign will allow potential candidates to have live discussions with recruiters and will see over 800 interviews take place between the 26 and 30 of April, 2021.

To support the recruitment initiative Bouygues will also run an internal awareness campaign to encourage its existing employees to become mentors.

Michael Truntzer, head of recruitment at Bouygues Construction, said, 鈥淭he construction sector and urban and regional sector need creative and enthusiastic future talent to meet today鈥檚 environmental and social challenges.鈥

鈥淎t Bouygues Construction, we are fortunate to have a genuine culture of mentoring and training for our work-study students by experienced, committed employees. They will guide the young people on work-study programmes to maximise their chances of success and of integration into the world of work!鈥

Bouygues, which has around 58,000 employees across 60 countries, is aiming to have 10% of its workforce on work-study programmes by 2025.

It said, 鈥淭he rate currently stands at 5% at group level, and is on course to reach 7% by the end of the year.鈥

Those wishing to apply for a place on the work-study programme can apply on the digital platform .
