Kranpunkten adds electric trucks to delivery fleet

Sweden-based rental company Kranpunkten has added two electric trucks to its customer delivery fleet.
The company, which deployed its first electric truck in , said the investment comes after initial success in the city and ensures customers will receive a fully electric alternative when receiving machines.
Its fleet of green rental lifts will now be transported to and from the worksite quietly and with zero emissions in both Stockholm and Malm枚, where the trucks will be deployed.
Both trucks are expected to be in operation in the first half of 2024.
Andreas W氓hlander, regional manager of Kranpunkten West, said, 鈥淭he use of electric trucks for machinery transport is a measure to reduce Kranpunkt鈥檚 footprint in an area where we have our greatest environmental impact.
鈥淥ur experiences with the first electric truck in Gothenburg show that our customers also highly value the opportunity for more sustainable deliveries.鈥
According to the company, the move is part of an acceleration of its wider sustainability goals of reducing its operations to be completely climate-neutral by 2030.
As well as depots in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malm枚, the company also has locations in F枚rsl枚v and Uppsala. Across its depots, Kranpunkten has 4500 machines available for rental.
